...where they tried to set the record for most consecutive hours without sleep. I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death, so they say, but I wish I could.
EDIT: So it's 5:26 now and I'm still awake. Coughing and hacking away. Still too early in the morning to call into work and say it won't happen today. I'd feel bad about it because we went out for drinks after work and when I left less than 6 hours ago I seemed all right.

good God, I'm a theist.
I skipped work today because I'd make more money that way than by coming in -- even though one of my clients cancelled permanently after she found out that my calculus services were provided several times over for free by the university, both by "office hours" and college-sponsored tutors. Anyways, I celebrated by buying gyros for lunch at one of those cheap Chicago-style delis on 53rd and as I ate it I thought, "Good God, I'm a theist!" It was that sort of sandwich. I read just now the first few pages of Book I of St Augustine's Confessions. I think that was enough for one day, I feel sorry for those poor saps who are reading it for their core classes or whatever and are forced to plow through the whole book in like two weeks, I could spend two weeks on just those first two pages.

on work
Check those out, the first is great. Death is not natural. Hence, my anti-death stance. All for free, dig it.
There are two web-loggers who wrote things I strongly sympathize with in certain aspects. One man's remarks about the Bible and work and one young lady's remarks about learning and wonder. Sha'n't elaborate because I hope to be employable in a profession where one is supposed to love one's jorb and think about it all the time.
