A reminder of how odious Murray Rothbard is

This a reminder about what, really, it means to be a libertarian after the mold of Murray Rothbard.

A right-wing populist program, then, must concentrate on dismantling the crucial existing areas of State and elite rule, and on liberating the average American from the most flagrant and oppressive features of that rule. In short:
...
4 Take Back the Streets: Crush Criminals. And by this I mean, of course, not "white collar criminals" or "inside traders" but violent street criminals – robbers, muggers, rapists, murderers. Cops must be unleashed, and allowed to administer instant punishment, subject of course to liability when they are in error.

5 Take Back the Streets: Get Rid of the Bums. Again: unleash the cops to clear the streets of bums and vagrants. Where will they go? Who cares? Hopefully, they will disappear, that is, move from the ranks of the petted and cosseted bum class to the ranks of the productive members of society.

I don't know what libertarians mean by "liberating the average American from the most flagrant and oppressive features of that rule", but if this is part of the program, I can guarantee that they are not thinking of the same things I am. Fascism, it seems, is freedom.

I didn't like them before...

...but I'm just going to say this: I'm completely boycotting any and all Holy Transfiguration Monastery (or "Holy" Transfiguration Monastery) texts now. I disliked them before for personal and aesthetic reasons, but, for more personal reasons, they're completely persona au gratin to me. Not even once. No prisoners.

I've been listening to far too much Sretensky Monastery Choir lately

Thinking about Pascha and musical arrangements, see. They have, quite humbly (it ain't bragging if it's true) set up the website bestchoir.ru. Anyway, while listening to a lot of their stuff, I found their performance of "Zemle Russkaya":

I have three thoughts:
  1. The "House of Ephratha" melody needs to be used more.
  2. This sort of aggressive, fast singing needs to be more common. It's a feast, not a funeral, man.
  3. I can just see Slavophile converts using this as their ring tone.
