I have the suspicion that I have encountered Levinas in the footnotes of either Zizioulas [in "Being and Communion"] or Ratzinger [in "Introduction to Christianity", but probably elsewhere as well, but something I haven't read: he has almost certainly discussed Levinas somewhere]. I shall be forced to check him out.
As for the French dudes: sounds like good summer reading.
